Radio Frequency

Radio frequency is an aesthetic approach using RF (radio frequency) energy that heats and stimulates the tissue and subdermal collagen production that is used to tighten loose skin. It can be used anywhere on the body but is very popular with the face/neck and abdomen area.

This procedure is targeted for fat cells. By using ultrasonic waves, it damages the fat cell membranes that are being targeted in each procedure. Even though it damages the fat cell membranes, it does not cause any damage to the surrounding tissue or organs. During the treatment, the ultrasonic waves are causing the body to surrender triglycerides and other fatty substances. After the procedure is completed, your body will begin the process to discharge these triglycerides and fatty substances through normal physiological processes.

Both of these modalities go hand in hand with each other. Patients can receive just one of these treatments or can get them done together all in the same sitting. The most common area of the body where Radio Frequency or Cavitation is used is the face/neck, and abdomen. However, it can be used to treat the back, thighs, arms, legs, hips, chin, etc.

Prior and post these treatments, we recommend consuming 8 cups of water daily, and to avoid any alcohol. Consuming the appropriate amount of fluids is vital to post body contouring. It helps process the excess triglycerides and fat which will be released through urination as a result of the procedure.

Depending on the area and overall goal of your body contouring journey, we recommend about 8 to 10 sessions, that can be done weekly. Consultation is always recommended before the start of the procedure.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy is derived from Eastern medicine. It has numerous benefits for all over the body but has become very popular for cellulite reduction. This treatment uses a glass bulb-shaped cup and our office uses fire or a suction pump to create a vacuum suction inside the cup. This suction will then lift the skin away from the muscles and is set on certain targeted points to achieve those treatment goals. The cup is then glided on the targeted area with the use of oil, which promotes blood to the surface and help breaks down the cellulite in the targeted area on the body. After the treatment, we do recommend lots of water consumption to keep the body hydrated, along with proper diet and exercise. Some patients do experience small bruising from the procedure, but it does resolve within a few days.
