VI Chemical Peel
The VI Peel in Boca Raton is a chemical peel used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne and acne scars, sun-induced hyperpigmentation, and melasma. In addition, it aids in pore refinement, oil control, and collagen creation, all of which lead to a smoother skin texture. This is accomplished quickly and comfortably during a personalized treatment session.
What Is the VI Peel?
To reveal healthier, younger-looking skin, a chemical peel known as a VI Peel is used to remove the outermost damaged layers of skin. The fast and painless treatment combines anti-aging components (retinol A and vitamin C) with some of the most effective peeling ingredients (phenol and TCA). It does this while avoiding the use of irritating hydroxy acids.
Is the VI Peel Right for Me?
The VI Peel is an option for those who want to improve the look of their skin by eliminating the appearance of fine lines, light wrinkles, sun spots, an unbalanced skin tone, rough patches, and acne scars. It is considered safe for all skin tones, but those with darker skin may be at a higher risk of hypopigmentation.
The VI Peel is not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing or anyone with active skin infections. It is not meant to fix advanced signs of aging like sagging skin or deep lines.
The VI Peel Procedure
A VI Peel treatment session typically lasts a little more than 30 minutes and causes no discomfort. This product uses a special mix of chemicals to remove the top layer of skin, revealing new, healthy skin underneath.
The first step of the VI Peel treatment is a thorough washing of the skin to remove any debris or oils that may be present. The next step will be the application of the VI Peel solution in 2 layers.
As the initial layer of the VI Peel sets in, the patient may feel a temporary numbing sensation. The skin will turn white after the second application. After waiting 4 to 6 hours, the patient can remove the peel with water. The skin will begin to peel around 3 days after the treatment session.
How Often Should a VI Peel Treatment Be Performed?
The skin problems that you are attempting to address should be considered when determining how often you should undergo a VI Peel treatment. To enjoy consistent benefits from each VI Peel treatment, you must space them out by at least 4 to 6 weeks.
VI Peel Aftercare
The VI Peel should be washed off with a moderate cleanser and water 4 to 6 hours after the process, at least an hour before bedtime. In order to take care of your skin after the treatment, you should wait to use any moisturizers, creams, or lotions until after you’ve washed the peel off.
After your VI Peel procedure, you will be given Post Peel Protectant to use 2 to 4 times daily. When your skin is peeling, it is essential that you keep it hydrated by using moisturizer frequently and shielding it from the sun whenever possible.
